Competition

The naming competition of Marlion the lion was so much fun I’ve decided to do another give-away.

My current amigurumi crochet pattern in progress already has a name ‘Haggis’…

so no naming competition this time.

You will have two chances to win & all you have to do is leave your answer to the 2 following questions (one suggestion only per comment please)…

  1. What do you think should be given the felted amigurumi crochet treatment next?
  2. and why?

One winner will be picked completely at random out of all the suggestion comments left & will get a copy of my latest amigurumi felted crochet Pdf of ‘Haggis’ the highland cow.

The other winner will be the person with the best suggestion & reason (my choice this time) & will get to choose whether to have Marlion the lion or Haggis the highland cow as their Pdf pattern prize.

I’m going to let this competition run until Haggis is all done… so you have plenty of time to think!

Good Luck, have fun & let your imaginations run wild! :-P

P.S and who knows I may even turn your suggestion into a reality….

  1. This is a hard one! I think you should make a haggis. Which will give you a bit of a problem since you’ve already named the cow Haggis.
I just find it’s so cute to look in the souvenir shops and see peoples’ many version of the wild and rare haggis roaming the Highlands. lol You could make up your own version for tourists etc.

  2. lol! I know what you mean about the wild & roaming haggis… My imagination could quite easily go into overdrive :)

  3. I think a felted walrus would be great. Personally, I haven’t seen many amigurumi walrus’ around. I think the felted texture would be very fitting for a walrus. Plus they’re super cute and would probably be fun to make with the tusk and whiskers.

  4. oooo!I like that idea too & I added some lovely Evilla art yarns 4ply to my stash a few months ago that could just work for a walrus…. thanks for taking the time to suggest it :)

  5. A llama! They are so cute and I think a little amigurumi llama would be awesome. Or a chinchilla, just because they are sometimes really freaky looking, so it might be interesting to try and make one amigurumi-style.

I also kind of like the actual haggis idea though, hahaha. The haggis and the chinchilla could be friends since neither of them are that attractive (to me, sorry if someone thinks either is cute).

But officially I’m saying llama (using llama yarn, perhaps? haha). Best animal ever.

  7. I would have to say a bunny – so many toddlers seem to be addicted to their bunny toys, it would make a great gift for a new baby. It would have to be in a really soft yarn and the ears would have to be something really special – soft and drapey, maybe even lined with satin or soft velour to make them strokeable (or in my son’s case, suckable!)

  8. A dragon – complete with fire from his nostrils.
    Just because dragons are great…

  10. The word SEAHORSE just popped into my head when I read your question!
Why? I think an amigurumi seahorse would be cute and fun to design.

  11. I’ve been looking for a good realistic octopus pattern for a long time. They all seem to be cartoonish like balls with legs. I think a realistic(ish) Octopus pattern would be hugely popular. I know I would buy it.

  12. Hello,
    It is me again!
    Your blig is FANTASTIC!
    My mum needs help…
    Any way,
Have you decided who will win?
    Fingers crossed!

  13. You could do a squid! with strings of tint like flowing and all
    I would loooooove it!

  14. I think a dinosaur of some sort would be awesome. Mainly, I think, because many of the adults I know love dinos and would definitely enjoy having/making a stuffed one!

  15. I think you should do a seal, Seals are my favourite animal and i am yet to seal done this way

  16. OOOO!
    Sounds fun!
I think you should definatly do a bunny rabbit!
Why? Because when I was about 3 or 4 I had a cuddlely bunny toy named bunny and I couldn’t go any where with out him! And I know it will be loved by all because bunnies are sooooooo cute!

  18. I think you should make a black and white cat – everyone loves cats and I haven’t seen a good pattern for one yet.
Good luck with the new project whatever you choose and if you decide on a cat please call him Jess.
